President Bakery Pcl., a subsidiary food company of Saha Group, was founded by Dr. Thiam Chokwatana. Food division of Saha Group is one of the highly successful and well accepted in the market with products such as Mama instant noodles and Nissin biscuits. Both products use wheat flour as their main raw material. As a result, it implies to an expansion in bakery business simply because wheat flour can still be used as main raw material.
In the past, most bakeries were small size family businesses. The standards of their products were not properly maintained. The product and its distribution were not properly managed. Market demand and popularity in bakery consumption were minimal and consumers did not have the right understanding of the bakery.
However, during this period bakery products blended well with our new way of life: the government supported domestic manufacturing to substitute the importation of agricultural based products, Thai lifestyle changed, transmigration of rural people to large cities, reduction of family size and more working women resulted in less time for cooking and more foreign trades causing more foreigners living in Thailand.
Thus, President Bakery Co., Ltd. was established in 1982 with the objective of manufacturing and distributing bakery products of international standard under the brand name 'Farmhouse'

Our factory is located in Lad Krabang Industrial Estate. It is made up of three buildings with utility space of 26,680 square meters, located on a piece of land measuring 12 rai, 12 ngarn and 40 square wah. We employ state-of-the-art production technologies from Japan, USA, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, etc. All of our products are made here. They are of the same standard. They are ready for distribution nationwide everyday.
We foresee the importance of product quality to our customers. Hence, we conduct continuous quality control tests at all stages of production from arrival of raw materials to dispatch of finished products. Advanced production technologies are being applied in all three plants to ensure high quality standards. The well designed engineering structure and architectural structure of the plants offers a maximum amount of production efficiency that is easily control and maintain. This includes sufficient lighting and proper ventilation systems.

Quality control plays an important role to our company at every stage, from the time of raw material arrival at the plant, packaging to dispatch of finished products. We comply with several standards set by The Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, and Thai Industrial Standard Institute, Ministry of Industry. The company complies to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and are certified by Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP). These quality control standards also compel our suppliers to implement high quality standards.
In addition, the entire production process must be inspected to ensure that proper standards are maintained from the time of start until completion. Quality control is to ensure safety, freshness and cleanliness of raw materials and finished products. Inferior products are screened and discarded by our specialists. We have a fully equipped and advanced laboratory to conduct tests and analyses and we have been granted the license to run a private laboratory by the Industrial Works Department, Ministry of Industry.

The company perceives that improvement and development of existing and new products are crucial in order to continue serving the changing demands and behavior of consumers. Research & Development is, thus, essential to our business. Our Research & Development department is divided into 2 parts.
Product R & D
Our company has a highly skilled Research & Development team to study raw materials and products for existing and future use in order to improve product quality, taste and nutrition value. This also includes in developing new recipes to serve the ever-changing demands and behavior of consumers. Our employees are trained in famous bakeries overseas in places like the USA and Japan and in addition to that the company has nutritionists who understand bread and bakery as our consultant. We have a License Agreement with Roman Meal Company, a US bakery firm which has been in business for over 80 years. Under this License, we receive technology transfer including recipes, expert advice on production, quality and product development.
Marketing R & D
Marketing R & D is the key to understanding consumer behavior and product satisfaction before and at the time of distribution. Every year we use a research firm to study consumer behavior and satisfaction. The findings are analyzed and used in product improvement and marketing strategies.
